Inside Music Today August 4 Show

To anyone who may have made the trip to Hollystock last Saturday, I’m sure you are still drying out as we are.  It was such a shame the weather decided to keep to the weather of the original Woodstock.  Hollystock was a wonderfully-planned event, only to be slightly spoiled by the off and on downpours all day.

We taped as much as we could, until the tents we were under could no longer hold back the deluge.  Due to the sensitivity of the cameras to water, we were forced to leave.  But our hats are off to Main Street Mt. Holly for a well-planned and well-run event.  Thanks for the memory!

On to this week’s show.  We are lucky to have another song from Tommy Conwell at the Florence Patriotic Day.  Thanks to Throddle for being his back-up band that evening.  A job well done!

We return to the Record Collector for Lisa Bouchelle & Bob Burger.  Then it’s back in time for a song from Dave Weber.  That song, only one week old, was recorded right on our couch during an interview for the original IMT.  Talk about talent!  We’re looking forward to recording Dave’s new songs in a few weeks!  Can’t wait to see him again!  Also from the early days,  we have Sic Vikki and LeCompt.  This show has quite a line-up of talent!

Enjoy the show on YouTube!

Next week we’re taking you to our day at Hollystock featuring Volt, Liquid Island and The Escape Plan, from the Hebe Music Stage, and a song from The Genies, from the Blue Light Studio Stage.  I was able to capture The Genies playing acoustically under the tent, with the audience huddling beneath.  Even though the video doesn’t show it, it was pouring all around us.  I know because the water was running down my back off the edge of the tent!  So if the video is a little rough, please understand my challenge.

I hope you all tune in and check out this week’s line-up!  Enjoy this first weekend in August!

Inside Music Today July 28 Show and Hollystock

If anyone is in the mood for plenty of music, Hollystock is the place to be today.  With four stages in downtown Mt. Holly, you’re sure to find a band you love.  After a day of live music, tune in to our show at midnight and enjoy second songs from The Poet-Lariats, Uncle Monster, Nytrous and Dr. Lou, from our taping in June.

Next week we’ve got another song from Tommy Conwell from the Florence Patriotic  Celebration. The band Throddle backed him up that evening.  Also on the August 4th show, we are back at The Record Collector with Lisa Bouchelle and Bob Burger.  Then we go back in time with Dave Weber, Sic Vikki and LeCompt.  What a great line-up of talent!

Last Monday Bill and Dr. Lou went to the Philadelphia Songwriter’s Association meeting.  We’re looking forward to working with some of the people Bill met that night and bring their talents to our audience.  We will have more info on that soon.

Hope everyone can come out and be a part of the music this weekend in Mt. Holly, and then make it home in time to watch IMT!

Inside Music Today July 7 Show

I can’t believe it is already July and that means, with this week’s show, IMT will begin its eighth month broadcasting on WMCN!  I feel so blessed.  I thank all our sponsors for believing in us and supporting our efforts to offer an arena to the area’s performers and songwriters.  It is truly wonderful to meet and work with so many talented musicians and singers.  Thank you to everyone who watches our programs.   And thank you to all the performers and all the fans who come out to TV tapings.  Our IMT family continues to grow each week.  We appreciate every one of you!

This week we have more concert footage.  New songs by KJA & The Lonely Teardrops, Liquid Island, The Privileged Few and a Bill O’Brien original.  Bill was able to perform his song with the assistance of John Carr, Dr. Lou and Blair Craft.  Thanks guys.  You all did great, especially since it was so last minute!

Watch it on YouTube!

Our July 14 show, which is being edited as I’m writing this, was taped at Dr. Lou’s Place at the end of June.  The Poet-Lariats returned that night and brought along Uncle Monster for their first IMT appearance.  Nytrous also returned and we recorded some new solo tunes by Dr. Lou.  So next week’s show will return to our normal format.  We will be throwing in some more anniversary concert footage here and there over the rest of the summer.

Don’t forget to click through to our Sponsors List; they make our show possible.  And stay tuned for news of our other Room Two Productions–July’s a busy month for us!

Inside Music Today June 16 show

It has been quite a week.  We all enjoyed bringing our anniversary concert to everyone who came out to be a part of the celebration.  Thank you to all who made the trip to support original music.

We are very fortunate to have our wonderful sponsors, all listed in our SPONSORS tab, who help us keep original music and local talent on the airwaves.  And how lucky are we to have two local venues to showcase this talent:   Hebe Music in Mt. Holly and Dr. Lou’s Place in Roebling.

Musicians, come on out and take advantage of the opportunity to show off your talent!

To the artists that performed at the concert,  we appreciate your performances and how everyone worked together in such a compatible manner.  We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and co-workers:  Lou helping with MC duties, John Carr and his band members taking care of backline & PA, Rob on camera, Barb doing her Media duties and Ro for the signs.  And let’s not forget Burlington City for providing us with a beautiful venue!  Thank you to all.

On to this week’s show, featuring the ladies on lead vocals.  Like Bill said at the concert, these range from mild to spicy.  Every band in tonight’s show has a female lead singer.  Enjoy original music by Freckle, WOES, Rhythm Method, Jarra and Hung Jury!  Watch this week’s show on our YouTube channel!

June 23rd, Box of Roxx is back with song #2.  Then we move onto Part 1 of the concert footage.  You’ll have to wait until next week’s blast to find out who will be featured!

Stay tuned in coming weeks to hear more great songs from our Anniversary Show as well as our usual lineup of great local bands and artists.
