Inside Music Today April 27 Show

It has been a very hectic week finalizing preparations for IMT‘s 1st acoustic In Concert Road Show.  We are also in the midst of preparations for the Croft Farm Rockfest ’13.  So it’s a bit crazy, tons of work and also fun.  But first a little info about this week’s show.

From our April 17th taping at Dave & Buster’s we are bringing you Lou Kramer with back-up by Firecracker Betty.  John Monzo has another original song for you this week that we taped on that evening. We also met rapper Diverse Character the same evening, and he is featured on this program.  Angel Casiano is part of the staff of Bucks County Open Mic Night and he gave us a copy of a concept video he had done recently and you will get to view it on this week’s show.

Next week we’re bringing you a second song from The Black Feathers from England.  Can’t wait to hear their beautiful harmonies once again.  Then we are back to the Dave & Buster’s taping with a song from Bob Pettiti and one from Great Blue Buddha.

I am asking all singers, musicians and friends to come out to the Shamrock Pub, 2nd & Reed St. in Center City, Philly, May 5, 5pm to 9pm.  Please come out and support our 1st acoustic In Concert Road Show.  If this is a success, that means more bands can be booked in more places.  IMT wants to show off all the talent that passes through the show.  We want to reach more audiences through more venues.  The audience seeing you on TV is one thing, but performing “live” is what it’s all about.  Please support this event and let’s keep IMT In Concert shows going!

Also, mark your calendars for June 8 ( June 9 raindate) for the Croft Farm Rockfest ’13.  We are so lucky to have friends in the right places that made it possible to acquire this venue.  This is a first for Cherry Hill to host an event like this.  We also want this to be successful, for the same reasons as above.  IMT is trying our best to open doors so talented artists have venues to show their craft.  Artists, please support other artists.  It will surely come back to you.

So please come out to our events.  Just remember, Bill always has really cool surprises at the end of the shows.  So come out and enjoy an evening of music.  If you need further info concerning the shows, go to our website below or e-mail us at the address below.  I’m happy to answer any questions.

Enjoy the weekend.  It should be beautiful! Tune in tonight at MIDNIGHT for our show, only on WMCN! As always, thanks go to our generous sponsors!

Inside Music Today April 20 Show

All of us at IMT are excited.  We want to thank Mike Vagnoni from Out On The Town Entertainment Guide for featuring a very wonderful article about Inside Music Today in his April issue.  A big thank you to Dr. Lou for using his time and talents to write about our program.  We are very blessed to have Mike and Lou offering their assistance, so more talented artists will be aware of the opportunities IMT can offer.  Thank you so much!

We are featuring on this week’s show The Count Josephine Band.  John Carr has been a little under the weather, so I’m hoping his band being on IMT will make him feel a bit better.  We will be seeing John in the not too distant future, since he has agreed to be a part of our 19th anniversary show.  John, it will be so good to see you again!

We also have John Cantamessa back.  I know our media consultant, Barb, will be glad of that!  Dave Weber and his lovely wife, Donna Delany have returned, as have Box of Roxx.  This is a great line-up of talent!

Next week we have a concept video from Angel Casiano.  Then we feature some of the acts we taped just this week at the Bucks County Open Mic Night, this time from Dave & Buster’s.  John Monzo had a new song for us, as did Lou Kramer with back-up by Firecracker Betty.  Rounding out the show, a rap performance from Diverse Character.  Thank you to Howard Durann for inviting us to come out to Dave & Buster’s to capture some more new talent.  We’ll have more from that evening on the May 4th show.

If you’re making plans for Cinco de Mayo, please consider coming out to our first acoustic In Concert Road Show at the Shamrock Pub, 2nd & Reed St., Center City, Philly.  We’ve planned a fun night of music with some really cool surprises.  Come join in the fun Sunday, May 5 from 5pm to 9pm.

We’ve added some bands to the 19th Anniversary Concert.  Joining Volt, Half Daze, No Commitment and If All Else Fails on June 8 will be The Count Josephine Band, Dr. Lou and the Privileged Few and Liquid Island. It will be a great day at Croft Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ.  Plus you know if Bill is in charge, there will be even more surprises!  So save the date for this FREE concert!

I think this is everything to date.  Hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy this upcoming weekend and this week’s show!

Our sponsors rock! Be sure to thank them by patronizing their businesses, and remember to tell them you heard about them on Inside Music Today!

Inside Music Today February 16 Show

Great show this week along with new IMT opportunities!  Ian O’Grady has had to wait the longest of everyone from the 5-artist night at Dr. Lou’s Place, but his week has finally arrived.  Thank you for your patience.  Ian will also be performing another original on our very first In Concert Road Show.  We have secured the Shamrock Pub in Center City Philly as our venue for our very first show.  The remaining line-up and date will be announced after they are all locked in.

Speaking of the Shamrock Pub, this week’s show features Dr. Lou performing one of his originals at that venue.  We also have a second song from Cory Walters and If All Else Fails.  We recorded so much music that night at Dr. Lou’s!  Filling out the show, we have archival footage featuring George Spicer and Dream Catcher.  Another fantastic night of music from the IMT early years.

Watch this show NOW on YouTube!

The February 23rd show is quite a mixture of music.  Definitely something for everyone!  On Sunday we headed over to Dr. Lou’s Place to enjoy the open mic night with Mike & Flora.  They were happy to perform some original tunes written by Flora and we are featuring one of those songs on this show.  Then unexpectedly their friend, SiriOm Singh, just happened to drop in on their open mic.  He entertained us with one of his world music originals that we just had to record.

We’ve been crossing the river a lot lately.  From a Sunday when Dr. Lou and friends performed at the Shamrock Pub, we have another Dr. Lou song.  Then just this past Wednesday, we crossed the Bristol Bridge and visited Pasquale’s Sports Bar.  We were supposed to record Angel Casiano, but he had laryngitis.  Angel, we hope you feel better!  So we hung out and met Howard Durann who had brought his Bucks County Open Mic to Pasquale’s.  We met many IMT fans and several artists that have been featured on the show.  Then we enjoyed quite an evening of entertainment.  Since we were prepared to record, some of the artists have been captured on our video.  The band that will be featured on this show is Mindless Hope.  Unbelievable harmony guitar work.  We are so happy to showcase them to our IMT fans.

As I’ve been saying since the new year, Inside Music Today is on the path to offer many new opportunities to our artists.  Our new In Concert Road Show and the Bucks County Open Mic are just two possibilities of which artists can be a part.  We will have more info about them both in upcoming blasts.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend and Inside Music Today! Click on the SPONSORS tab to see who’s keeping us on the air, bringing original music to the Delaware Valley.

Inside Music Today February 2 Show

On this week’s show, we are bringing you four acts we have taped at Dr. Lou’s Place and one concept video.  Our concept video features Jimi Chanti and Nightspell13 recorded right in the studio.  We taped 3 Noodle Stew about a year ago at Dr. Lou’s.  Then from our recent 5-act taping at Dr. Lou’s Place, we have a new song from Angel Casiano, which I’m sure will be included on his new CD.

That same evening, Angel Casiano brought along some friends from his open mic nights.  Cory Walters hung in there all night and was our last performer to record that evening.  Thank you, Cory, for your patience because you were definitely worth the wait!  We feature one song from Cory this week, with more to come in upcoming weeks.

Earlier in the evening we recorded If All Else Fails.  They are a very talented, young band and live only a few towns down Route 130 from Room Two Studios.  Thank you, Kevin, for calling us and requesting to be a part of IMT.

Next week IMT is straying from our normal path by featuring only one band for the entire show.  The band is Half Daze and we recorded them on that same evening.  This is another young band and they certainly know where they want to go.  They had enough confidence to ask if we could devote the entire show to feature their music.  Since it seemed a good time to try something new, we are honoring their request.  So the February 9 show will feature only music written and performed by Half Daze.

This one week format change is only one aspect of the new things coming from Inside Music Today.  Much more to come in the next few months.  All things come to those who wait, but can only be accomplished one step at a time.  So hang in there for some really cool things coming our way!

Enjoy the show and enjoy your weekend!

Continuing with our “Give Thanks” celebration taping at Dr. Lou’s Place, this week’s show features Angel Casiano and Blue Heather, along with two more newcomers to IMT, John Monzo and Jeff LeVine.  We taped this show on the regular “Open Mic” night that Angel hosts each Tuesday at Dr. Lou’s Place.  Thank You Angel, for opening the stage to IMT for this special evening to celebrate and record so many new artists.  You are the best!

Our December 8 show is available on YouTube!

The December 15th show is a mixture of two evenings of entertainment.  Mike Rocket is back with another song taped at The Legendary Dobbs, South Street, Philly.  We also are presenting another performance from Nicki Sbaffoni, also taped at Dobbs.

From our “Give Thanks” taping, The Union has returned with a song written by Sharis.  Then we have another new addition to IMT, Frank Porter, who traveled from mid-Pennsylvania to be a part of our celebration.  Blue Heather is back, this time with their a cappella harmonies dedicated to our military heroes. Inside Music Today December 1 show

Our show for this week features some old friends, along with some new performers to celebrate Inside Music Today’s first year anniversary broadcasting on WMCN!  Bill & Rob headed on down to Dr. Lou’s Place on November 20th, for a special taping of The Union.  They were on our first WMCN broadcast, known then as Union Dues.  Now they have so many more new songs, plus a new name, we had to capture this new sound to celebrate and give thanks for IMT making it to this special anniversary!

To help us celebrate, Blue Heather was in attendance, along with a new performer for IMT,  Larry Saklad. I was unable to attend that taping, so I am looking forward to hearing a new performer who was there to be a part of our evening of thanks.

Rounding out the show, we’re happy to bring the Nightspell 13 video that has just been completed to coincide with the release of the CD, Carnival of Nights, which is available now on CD Baby and theorchard.com. Watch the whole show on YouTube!

The December 8 show will feature more acts from the “Give Thanks” celebration at Dr. Lou’s Place.  Performing will be Angel Casiano, who hosts the Tuesday “Open Mic” at Dr. Lou’s each week, along with more newcomers to IMT, John Monzo and Jeff LeVine.  Then we have one more song from Blue Heather.

Our next Inside Music Today taping at Dr. Lou’s Place will be on Thursday, December 6.

Anyone wishing to be a part of this taping, please call us at 856-461-4281.  We are going to be offering some new and exciting opportunities beginning in the New Year.  Any artists that would like to be involved, please call.

We are gearing up to bring you lots of new things in the new year, so hang in there and keep watching.  Things will only be getting better & better!

Remember to support our sponsors and thank them for helping to keep original music on the South Jersey airwaves. We always welcome sponsors, so if you know someone who’d like to advertise their business on our show, have them give us a call at 856-461-4281!

Inside Music Today Late October-November 3

I hope everyone got through the storm okay.  We’re behind again, this time due to the storm.  We were lucky to only be out of power for 24 hours.  But that was just long enough to put things behind schedule.  But I am so glad we came through okay and we were able to get another show for you.

We are continuing to bring artist performances from the Paul Kurrey fundraiser.  This week we have acoustic acts Jack McTamney, Terence Donnelly and Nicki Sbaffoni.  Dr. Lou & the Privileged Few are on board with a Paul Kurrey song.  Paul, I know you’re up in New York and can’t watch tonight, but next week I hope you’ll be watching on You Tube.  This  is Dr. Lou doing this for you!

We have a few more shows in the next few weeks featuring artists from the fundraiser.  After those shows run, we will be featuring some concept videos being taped at this time from Nightspell 13.  Our producer Bill has worked with Jimi Chanti recording keyboard tracks for this and past Nightspell CD’s.  This new CD, Carnival of Nights, will be on CD Baby and theorchard.com.  Looking forward to presenting these videos to our viewers.

Also, thanks Jimi for the great CD release party!  Always fun to party after all the work is done!

Again, hope everyone is okay after the storm and hope you can tune in to tonight’s show.
