Inside Music Today April 20 Show

All of us at IMT are excited.  We want to thank Mike Vagnoni from Out On The Town Entertainment Guide for featuring a very wonderful article about Inside Music Today in his April issue.  A big thank you to Dr. Lou for using his time and talents to write about our program.  We are very blessed to have Mike and Lou offering their assistance, so more talented artists will be aware of the opportunities IMT can offer.  Thank you so much!

We are featuring on this week’s show The Count Josephine Band.  John Carr has been a little under the weather, so I’m hoping his band being on IMT will make him feel a bit better.  We will be seeing John in the not too distant future, since he has agreed to be a part of our 19th anniversary show.  John, it will be so good to see you again!

We also have John Cantamessa back.  I know our media consultant, Barb, will be glad of that!  Dave Weber and his lovely wife, Donna Delany have returned, as have Box of Roxx.  This is a great line-up of talent!

Next week we have a concept video from Angel Casiano.  Then we feature some of the acts we taped just this week at the Bucks County Open Mic Night, this time from Dave & Buster’s.  John Monzo had a new song for us, as did Lou Kramer with back-up by Firecracker Betty.  Rounding out the show, a rap performance from Diverse Character.  Thank you to Howard Durann for inviting us to come out to Dave & Buster’s to capture some more new talent.  We’ll have more from that evening on the May 4th show.

If you’re making plans for Cinco de Mayo, please consider coming out to our first acoustic In Concert Road Show at the Shamrock Pub, 2nd & Reed St., Center City, Philly.  We’ve planned a fun night of music with some really cool surprises.  Come join in the fun Sunday, May 5 from 5pm to 9pm.

We’ve added some bands to the 19th Anniversary Concert.  Joining Volt, Half Daze, No Commitment and If All Else Fails on June 8 will be The Count Josephine Band, Dr. Lou and the Privileged Few and Liquid Island. It will be a great day at Croft Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ.  Plus you know if Bill is in charge, there will be even more surprises!  So save the date for this FREE concert!

I think this is everything to date.  Hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy this upcoming weekend and this week’s show!

Our sponsors rock! Be sure to thank them by patronizing their businesses, and remember to tell them you heard about them on Inside Music Today!

Inside Music Today April 13 Show

This week’s TV show features a band from England, The Black Feathers.  I am so grateful we were invited by Dr. Lou to record Ray & Sian at Dr. Lou’s Place on Easter Sunday.  They are a wonderfully talented duo and great people.  You won’t want to miss this show and their incredible harmony.  Plus in the interview, you’ll love the British accents!

We also have a message song from our producer Bill with Artisan, warning to not drink & drive.  Then we will get you in the mood for our upcoming anniversary concert with a new song from No Commitment.  Yes, Bill has decided to turn the concert with 4 young bands into our 19th Anniversary Concert!  And the date is June 8, exactly 19 years to the day of the first Inside Music Today broadcast!  With the assistance of Mark Oberstaedt, one of the dads of the No Commitment band, we have secured Croft Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ for the venue.  Thank you Mark for all your help.  This would not be a reality without you!

Our April 20th show has performances by Count Josephine BandJohn CantamessaDave Weber with Donna DelanyBox of Roxx and Dr. Lou & the Privileged Few.

Inside Music Today September 15 Show

I hope everyone is enjoying our new interview segment.  This week we finish up the chat with Dr. Lou.  Then we have 2nd songs from Glenn Basham, John Cantamessa & the Main Street Band, Dave Weber with Donna Delany and Dr. Lou!

Next week we have an All Star show.  We have so many oldies and so little time, that we’re saving our interview segment for an upcoming show.  What a line-up of professional talent.  Billy & the Essentials,  Danny & The Juniors, The Dreamlovers,  The Tymes, The Orlons, The Bluenotes plus Blue Heather performing the song they recorded at Sigma Sound Studios with the SalSoul Orchestra.  I hope everyone tunes in to this special program.  Bill is proud to be on this program with all these fantastic performers, since listening to them contributed to his singing talent today.

As always, HUGE thanks to our sponsors who keep our show on the air! Make sure to patronize their businesses and thank them for their commitment to local original music.

Inside Music Today September 1 Show

Hard to believe it is here so quickly, but this week’s show is the first of the new fall season.  In this first show, we are introducing a new segment to the program.  Each week we will try to offer a bit of information concerning the business side of the music industry in and around the Philly music scene.

In this premiere segment, Bill & Dr. Lou discuss their experience while attending a meeting of the Philadelphia Recording Community (PRC).  That interview will be continued on the September 8 show.

This week we’re featuring songs taped 2 weeks ago at Dr. Lou’s from Glenn Basham and RT Funk Band.  That was a fun night!  Then from a taping at Hebe Music a few days later,  John Cantamessa brought along The Main Street Band and what a great performance!  The same night we enjoyed Dave Weber with Donna Delany.  They sound fantastic together!  A thoroughly entertaining evening!

Watch our September 1 show on YouTube!

Next week, along with our new interview segment, each act is coming to us from a different venue.  On a beautiful August evening we caught The Trump Boyz at Hawk Island Marina in Delanco, NJ.  Then on to Dr. Lou’s Place and a new song from Dr. Lou.  In their premiere appearance on IMT, The Parachuting Apostles are performing at The World Cafe.  And how wonderful to have as our special guests this week, Danny & the Juniors!  We were lucky to catch them at a fundraiser a few years ago at The Coastline.  Thank you to Joe Terry for permission to air their performance from that evening, sounding fantastic as always!

Speaking of fundraisers, don’t forget the special fundraiser IMT will be covering on October 15.  This event is for Paul Kurrey, to support him in his battle with throat cancer.  We want to help him beat this “worst of all cancers that could affect a singer.” Not only is he ill, but this form of cancer also threatens his livelihood.  Save the date, October 15, and come on out to the Legendary Dobbs, South Street, Philly, for an unprecedented 4PM opening.  Stay until 6:30 for Happy Hour and acoustic performances.  After that, even I don’t know as yet who is in the line-up.  But I’m sure they’ll be lots of surprises during this very special evening for a very special artist.  We will definitely keep you informed as we find out more each week!

I think this is all the IMT news to date.  Don’t forget to watch us on WMCN, and tell a friend!  And if you like our show, why not thank our sponsors by supporting their businesses?  Click here to see our full list of sponsors who play a huge role in keeping local original music on TV!

Have a great Labor Day weekend and enjoy this unofficial end of summer!

Inside Music Today: August 25 Show

We decided to wrap up this exciting summer with a little from each of the events we covered the last three months.  Our August 25 show begins with Blue Heather and Dan Casper from our Anniversary Concert in June.  Moving on to July 4th, one more song from Tommy Conwell, with back-up by Throddle. It was the hottest day of the summer, but a nice evening of entertainment after the storm.  Then we’re back to the rains of Hollystock, with one more song from Volt and the final song we were able to record that day from The Late Ancients.  All these events happened right here in Burlington County.  Pretty cool!  Watch our August 25 show now on Youtube!

September 1st begins our new fall season and adds a new interview segment to the show.  We are trying our best to bring information about the Philadelphia music business to our artists.  In the debut interview, Bill and Dr. Lou discuss their experience at a meeting of the Philadelphia Recording Community.

Following the interview, we’re featuring Glenn Basham and RT Funk Band, recorded at Dr. Lou’s Place just a week ago.  Last Sunday we were at Hebe Music, where we caught John Cantamessa, this time with The Main Street Band.  What a great, tight sound!

After a “long time, no see,” we got to see our old friend Dave Weber again.  He came down to Hebe‘s to record with Donna Delany.  He’s better than ever, especially in this performance with Donna.  Dave, so wonderful to see you again!

Remember, IMT wouldn’t happen if it weren’t for our generous sponsors. Click here to see our full list of sponsors and please patronize them to thank them for their support of local original music!
