Inside Music Today April 20 Show

All of us at IMT are excited.  We want to thank Mike Vagnoni from Out On The Town Entertainment Guide for featuring a very wonderful article about Inside Music Today in his April issue.  A big thank you to Dr. Lou for using his time and talents to write about our program.  We are very blessed to have Mike and Lou offering their assistance, so more talented artists will be aware of the opportunities IMT can offer.  Thank you so much!

We are featuring on this week’s show The Count Josephine Band.  John Carr has been a little under the weather, so I’m hoping his band being on IMT will make him feel a bit better.  We will be seeing John in the not too distant future, since he has agreed to be a part of our 19th anniversary show.  John, it will be so good to see you again!

We also have John Cantamessa back.  I know our media consultant, Barb, will be glad of that!  Dave Weber and his lovely wife, Donna Delany have returned, as have Box of Roxx.  This is a great line-up of talent!

Next week we have a concept video from Angel Casiano.  Then we feature some of the acts we taped just this week at the Bucks County Open Mic Night, this time from Dave & Buster’s.  John Monzo had a new song for us, as did Lou Kramer with back-up by Firecracker Betty.  Rounding out the show, a rap performance from Diverse Character.  Thank you to Howard Durann for inviting us to come out to Dave & Buster’s to capture some more new talent.  We’ll have more from that evening on the May 4th show.

If you’re making plans for Cinco de Mayo, please consider coming out to our first acoustic In Concert Road Show at the Shamrock Pub, 2nd & Reed St., Center City, Philly.  We’ve planned a fun night of music with some really cool surprises.  Come join in the fun Sunday, May 5 from 5pm to 9pm.

We’ve added some bands to the 19th Anniversary Concert.  Joining Volt, Half Daze, No Commitment and If All Else Fails on June 8 will be The Count Josephine Band, Dr. Lou and the Privileged Few and Liquid Island. It will be a great day at Croft Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ.  Plus you know if Bill is in charge, there will be even more surprises!  So save the date for this FREE concert!

I think this is everything to date.  Hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy this upcoming weekend and this week’s show!

Our sponsors rock! Be sure to thank them by patronizing their businesses, and remember to tell them you heard about them on Inside Music Today!

Inside Music Today April 13 Show

This week’s TV show features a band from England, The Black Feathers.  I am so grateful we were invited by Dr. Lou to record Ray & Sian at Dr. Lou’s Place on Easter Sunday.  They are a wonderfully talented duo and great people.  You won’t want to miss this show and their incredible harmony.  Plus in the interview, you’ll love the British accents!

We also have a message song from our producer Bill with Artisan, warning to not drink & drive.  Then we will get you in the mood for our upcoming anniversary concert with a new song from No Commitment.  Yes, Bill has decided to turn the concert with 4 young bands into our 19th Anniversary Concert!  And the date is June 8, exactly 19 years to the day of the first Inside Music Today broadcast!  With the assistance of Mark Oberstaedt, one of the dads of the No Commitment band, we have secured Croft Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ for the venue.  Thank you Mark for all your help.  This would not be a reality without you!

Inside Music Today December 29 Show

Hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season!

On this week’s show, The Union has returned performing a Mike Riley song.  Mike owns Riley General Contracting (one of our sponsors) and has been helping support IMT for awhile now.  Thank you Mike for everything you do for us and the show!  Not only are you a gifted musician & songwriter, but a gifted carpentry artisan as well!

We also have a new song from Volt who we met at Hollystock this past summer.  We’ve had many requests for their return.  So here they are from a show taped just a week or so ago from our sponsor Dr. Lou’s Place.

Continuing this 2nd show from our Christmas trilogy, we’re featuring a Christmas song by Cathy Gulden from Delaware.  Thank you Rob for finding her for us!  And as a special Christmas treat, Blue Heather teams up with Dr. Lou & the Privileged Few for a rockin’ Christmas tune.

Next week we’ll bring you new songs from Nicki Sbaffoni and Kenn Kweder.  Then we’ll wrap up the Christmas trilogy with a couple of songs featuring Louise Mandrell.  Louise is the middle of the three Mandrell Sisters.  We were requested to tape the Rowan University Winter Concert, at which Louise was the special guest.  She is a wonderful entertainer and we are so very happy we were given permission to share part of her evening’s performance with you all.  Thank you Dr. Pastin, Rowan University and all the musicians and singers that made the concert such a wonderful experience that evening.

Well, enjoy the shows we’ve worked so hard to bring to you. And we couldn’t do it without the support of our wonderful sponsors–so make sure you thank them for keeping original music on TV in the Delaware Valley!

All of us at IMT wish everyone a wonderful, prosperous & Happy New Year!

December 22 Show: Inside Music Today

This week’s show reflects the Christmas season with performances by The Pine Barons Chorus and Bill’s past singing group, Been There Done That.

Blue Heather brings the Latin Christmas celebration to us performing with the trio Tieno, bringing together family & friends.  Artisan has a song with a reminder to be careful not to drink & drive this holiday season.  Dr. Lou & the Privileged Few perform at The Legendary Dobbs and we catch the interview with them from that evening.

If you missed the show or just want to see it again, check it out on YouTube!

Next week we have a song written by Mike Riley and performed by The Union on Dr. Lou‘s stage. The band Volt, who we recorded back in July at Hollystock, came out to Dr. Lou’s just last night.  One of the two songs recorded will be on this show.  Bill has been looking forward to more music from them since he edited their performance back in August.  Thanks guys for coming to Dr. Lou‘s and being a part of one of our holiday shows!

And as a special holiday treat, Blue Heather and Dr. Lou and The Privileged Few perform together.  This happy Christmas song is quite fun and entertaining!

Our December 15 show featured the talents of Mike Rocket and Nicki Sbaffoni from The Legendary Dobbs stage.  We have a song written by Sharis performed by The Union.  From that same evening of “Thanks” from Dr. Lou’s stage we have newcomer Frank Porter and the acapella talents of Blue Heather singing for our military at this time of the year when they all wish they could be here.  Thank you to all who serve to keep us safe.

It has been a wonderful year bringing all these artists and their original music to all of you.  I look back on this year and realize IMT has presented about 260 new original songs to our viewers.  We wish to thank each and every artist that has been a part of Inside Music Today.  We appreciate your performances and being a part of our IMT family.  We are so blessed to live in an area with such a multitude of talented musicians, singers and songwriters.

Artists please remember, IMT is planning many new experiences for the New Year.

Keep in touch if you would like to be included in all the new and exciting projects ahead.  We’re ready for a fun and prosperous New Year!

We wish everyone, artists and fans alike, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year!  And I don’t want to forget our sponsors!  Thank you for keeping us on the air so all can enjoy our wonderful performers!

And I must not forget our fantastic crew!  We cannot put out this show without your talents!  Thank you Rob, Barb & Ro. Bill and I depend on you all much more than you realize.  Thank you for always being there for us.  And welcome to our new intern Mackenzie!  You’ve only been with us a short time, but you fit with us all so perfectly.  Hope you return on spring break or for the summer!

Thanks for all who watch IMT.  We try our best to bring you new original music each week and are looking forward to this new exciting year ahead.

Here’s to many new and wonderful experiences in 2013!

Inside Music Today November 10 Show

We are bringing you another show with artists that performed for Paul Kurrey’s benefit at The Legendary Dobbs, Philly.  Nytrous came out that evening and are on this show along with Jack McTamney and Dr. Lou’s Privileged Few.

Mike Rocket came down from New York to be a part of this historic evening.  Enjoy this young artist’s intriguing lyrics and great guitar work.  In an interview with Bill & Dr. Lou, Mike reveals much information about being a traveling musician.  I’m sure IMT will be catching more gigs in the future with Mike Rocket! See this show on YouTube!

Next week we will be featuring Michael Tearson, host for the evening’s activities and iconic DJ from the early days of underground FM radio.  What a pleasure to meet the man that we listened to night after night in the days of our youth and throughout the years.  We had a wonderful time that evening, doing interviews and hanging out in Dobbs’ green room.  Michael, thanks for being a part of Inside Music Today ! Enjoy music and reminiscing by watching this show on YouTube!

Thank you to everyone who watches IMT–and, as always, thank you to our wonderful sponsors!  Please, if you are able, donate to Paul’s benefit fund.  This week we will have more info on the benefit link.  Just click on the link after Monday and we should have the further info needed to donate.

Enjoy the weekend.  Heard it will be so nice, after all this so bad weather.

Inside Music Today Late October-November 3

I hope everyone got through the storm okay.  We’re behind again, this time due to the storm.  We were lucky to only be out of power for 24 hours.  But that was just long enough to put things behind schedule.  But I am so glad we came through okay and we were able to get another show for you.

We are continuing to bring artist performances from the Paul Kurrey fundraiser.  This week we have acoustic acts Jack McTamney, Terence Donnelly and Nicki Sbaffoni.  Dr. Lou & the Privileged Few are on board with a Paul Kurrey song.  Paul, I know you’re up in New York and can’t watch tonight, but next week I hope you’ll be watching on You Tube.  This  is Dr. Lou doing this for you!

We have a few more shows in the next few weeks featuring artists from the fundraiser.  After those shows run, we will be featuring some concept videos being taped at this time from Nightspell 13.  Our producer Bill has worked with Jimi Chanti recording keyboard tracks for this and past Nightspell CD’s.  This new CD, Carnival of Nights, will be on CD Baby and theorchard.com.  Looking forward to presenting these videos to our viewers.

Also, thanks Jimi for the great CD release party!  Always fun to party after all the work is done!

Again, hope everyone is okay after the storm and hope you can tune in to tonight’s show.

Our October 20 show featured music by Blue Heather, Mighty Parrot, October Baby with Lisa Bouchelle, the Good Medicine Band with David Weber, and Wendy Betz & the Riseing! Watch it NOW on YouTube!

On October 27, there was more original music by Wendy Betz & the Riseing, plus concert footage from the Philadelphia Music Scene ROCKS for Paul Kurrey by these bands:  Dr. Lou & the Privileged Few, Blue Heather, Angel Casiano and Kenn Kweder! It’s available on YouTube now!

Make sure to keep supporting (and thanking) our generous sponsors who help us bring original music to local TV!
