IMT August 3 Midnight Show

We’re busy setting up taping dates for new acts and we’re scripting new IMT segments and taping those.  We will also start setting dates for new In Concert Road Shows at some new locations. Any artists interested in being a part of these shows, please contact us.

Amenti Rover
Amenti Rover

Tonight we’re premiering a new band, Amenti Rover.  We met and taped them at the “Rock Out Hunger” event in Burlington Twp. a few weeks back.  They’re an excellent rock band that put on a very enjoyable show.  We have Mike & Flora from our Road Show at The Shamrock and Wendy Betz and the Riseing taped at The Bus Stop in Pitman, NJ.  Then we return to the Medford Fireworks for an original from No Commitment.  What a fantastic evening of music from these young artists.  They have a great future ahead of them.

August 10th Amenti Rover will return along with more from the Breast Cancer Fundraiser taped at Dr. Lou’s Place.  More music from Riverz Edge Band, Ginger Coyle and Underground Rats rounds out the show. We appreciate the fact that these artists donated their time to perform for such a worthy cause.

Next week I should have some upcoming dates for Road Shows and other events.

Inside Music Today July 27 Show

We’re very busy here at IMT producing new segments for our new fall season.  One new segment will be including information about our family of artists. More info about this as the new season approaches.

Riverz Edge BandThis week’s show consists of footage from the “Rocking for a Cure” event at Dr. Lou’s Place.  We were able to stay long enough to catch 3 great acts, Riverz Edge Band, Ginger Coyle and Underground Rats.  We have one song from each act this week with more to come in upcoming weeks.

Next week is a mixture of outdoor and indoor performances.  We’re outside at the Medford Fireworks with No Commitment.  Then we go indoors with Wendy Betz and the Riseing and move outside again to the “Rock Out Hunger” benefit with Amenti Rover.  Our first time meeting Amenti Rover and they put on a really impressive performance.

I do want to ask our artists to contact us if you have any upcoming events you would like to advertise on IMT.  We will feature as many as we can each week.

Coming up on Saturday, August 3, The DeFused is playing a benefit for Paw It 4ward, which helps animal rescues in need.

Hope you are all enjoying your summer.  All of us here will be working hard to bring new and exciting music, information and events to your TV screen for the fall.  But our 5 shows in August will have some sneak previews, so keep watching!

Inside Music Today May 4 Show

Tonight’s IMT features a second song from our friends The Black Feathers.

The Black Feathers play Dr. Lou's Place
The Black Feathers play Dr. Lou’s Place

Tune in for their special harmonies and remember, they were here at Dr. Lou’s Place all the way from England.  What a great night of entertainment that was!

This program also features two acts from our April 17th taping at Dave & Buster’s at the Bucks County Open Mic Night with Howard Durann.  Tonight you will enjoy a song from Bob Petitti.  We also bring you a performance from Great Blue Buddha.  It was really cool to find out when we arrived for the taping, that Dante del Vecchio was in this band.  Dante was on IMT during our first year.  It is so good to run into people that have been on our show over the years.

We had some requests to run once more the concept video we made with Jimi Chanti and Nightspell 13.  So here it is in tonight’s show.  We have been receiving many more inquiries lately about concept videos.  They are more costly, but when completed, a great accomplishment.  Plus it is always something unique to have in a bands repertoire.  So artists, keep this in mind!

So that is tonight’s show!  Please visit us tomorrow night at the Shamrock Pub in Philly.  It will be a new and unique experience! Check this site tomorrow for complete info on our Acoustic In Concert Road Show.

Inside Music Today April 27 Show

It has been a very hectic week finalizing preparations for IMT‘s 1st acoustic In Concert Road Show.  We are also in the midst of preparations for the Croft Farm Rockfest ’13.  So it’s a bit crazy, tons of work and also fun.  But first a little info about this week’s show.

From our April 17th taping at Dave & Buster’s we are bringing you Lou Kramer with back-up by Firecracker Betty.  John Monzo has another original song for you this week that we taped on that evening. We also met rapper Diverse Character the same evening, and he is featured on this program.  Angel Casiano is part of the staff of Bucks County Open Mic Night and he gave us a copy of a concept video he had done recently and you will get to view it on this week’s show.

Next week we’re bringing you a second song from The Black Feathers from England.  Can’t wait to hear their beautiful harmonies once again.  Then we are back to the Dave & Buster’s taping with a song from Bob Pettiti and one from Great Blue Buddha.

I am asking all singers, musicians and friends to come out to the Shamrock Pub, 2nd & Reed St. in Center City, Philly, May 5, 5pm to 9pm.  Please come out and support our 1st acoustic In Concert Road Show.  If this is a success, that means more bands can be booked in more places.  IMT wants to show off all the talent that passes through the show.  We want to reach more audiences through more venues.  The audience seeing you on TV is one thing, but performing “live” is what it’s all about.  Please support this event and let’s keep IMT In Concert shows going!

Also, mark your calendars for June 8 ( June 9 raindate) for the Croft Farm Rockfest ’13.  We are so lucky to have friends in the right places that made it possible to acquire this venue.  This is a first for Cherry Hill to host an event like this.  We also want this to be successful, for the same reasons as above.  IMT is trying our best to open doors so talented artists have venues to show their craft.  Artists, please support other artists.  It will surely come back to you.

So please come out to our events.  Just remember, Bill always has really cool surprises at the end of the shows.  So come out and enjoy an evening of music.  If you need further info concerning the shows, go to our website below or e-mail us at the address below.  I’m happy to answer any questions.

Enjoy the weekend.  It should be beautiful! Tune in tonight at MIDNIGHT for our show, only on WMCN! As always, thanks go to our generous sponsors!

Inside Music Today April 20 Show

All of us at IMT are excited.  We want to thank Mike Vagnoni from Out On The Town Entertainment Guide for featuring a very wonderful article about Inside Music Today in his April issue.  A big thank you to Dr. Lou for using his time and talents to write about our program.  We are very blessed to have Mike and Lou offering their assistance, so more talented artists will be aware of the opportunities IMT can offer.  Thank you so much!

We are featuring on this week’s show The Count Josephine Band.  John Carr has been a little under the weather, so I’m hoping his band being on IMT will make him feel a bit better.  We will be seeing John in the not too distant future, since he has agreed to be a part of our 19th anniversary show.  John, it will be so good to see you again!

We also have John Cantamessa back.  I know our media consultant, Barb, will be glad of that!  Dave Weber and his lovely wife, Donna Delany have returned, as have Box of Roxx.  This is a great line-up of talent!

Next week we have a concept video from Angel Casiano.  Then we feature some of the acts we taped just this week at the Bucks County Open Mic Night, this time from Dave & Buster’s.  John Monzo had a new song for us, as did Lou Kramer with back-up by Firecracker Betty.  Rounding out the show, a rap performance from Diverse Character.  Thank you to Howard Durann for inviting us to come out to Dave & Buster’s to capture some more new talent.  We’ll have more from that evening on the May 4th show.

If you’re making plans for Cinco de Mayo, please consider coming out to our first acoustic In Concert Road Show at the Shamrock Pub, 2nd & Reed St., Center City, Philly.  We’ve planned a fun night of music with some really cool surprises.  Come join in the fun Sunday, May 5 from 5pm to 9pm.

We’ve added some bands to the 19th Anniversary Concert.  Joining Volt, Half Daze, No Commitment and If All Else Fails on June 8 will be The Count Josephine Band, Dr. Lou and the Privileged Few and Liquid Island. It will be a great day at Croft Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ.  Plus you know if Bill is in charge, there will be even more surprises!  So save the date for this FREE concert!

I think this is everything to date.  Hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy this upcoming weekend and this week’s show!

Our sponsors rock! Be sure to thank them by patronizing their businesses, and remember to tell them you heard about them on Inside Music Today!

Inside Music Today April 13 Show

This week’s TV show features a band from England, The Black Feathers.  I am so grateful we were invited by Dr. Lou to record Ray & Sian at Dr. Lou’s Place on Easter Sunday.  They are a wonderfully talented duo and great people.  You won’t want to miss this show and their incredible harmony.  Plus in the interview, you’ll love the British accents!

We also have a message song from our producer Bill with Artisan, warning to not drink & drive.  Then we will get you in the mood for our upcoming anniversary concert with a new song from No Commitment.  Yes, Bill has decided to turn the concert with 4 young bands into our 19th Anniversary Concert!  And the date is June 8, exactly 19 years to the day of the first Inside Music Today broadcast!  With the assistance of Mark Oberstaedt, one of the dads of the No Commitment band, we have secured Croft Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ for the venue.  Thank you Mark for all your help.  This would not be a reality without you!

Our April 20th show has performances by Count Josephine BandJohn CantamessaDave Weber with Donna DelanyBox of Roxx and Dr. Lou & the Privileged Few.

Be sure to patronize our sponsors who help keep original local music on the air!

Inside Music Today April 6 Show and Open Mic Update

Info about the Acoustic Road Show at the Shamock Pub and upcoming concerts in June will have to wait until next week.

But we do have a great show this week featuring Dr. Lou, Nicki Sbaffoni, Mike Rocket and Artisan.

Next week’s performances include a duo we were able to tape from Dr. Lou’s stage on Easter Sunday, The Black Feathers.  Ray and Sian are from England and we were so happy to meet them and capture their fantastic harmonies for Inside Music Today.  We’ve also included an interview with questions for Ray and Sian from Bill and Dr. Lou.

The other band on next week’s show is No Commitment, taped just last night at Dr. Lou’s Place.  We had a great time and wish them Good Luck at the JAM Awards.  It is really wonderful to watch these young artists as they grow and mature within the music business.  They will be a part of one of the concerts we are planning for June.  But there will be more info on that next week.

One thing that has become definite is our next Bucks County Open Mic Night date and location.  Wednesday, April 17th is the date and this will be our first TV taping at Dave & Buster’s, 1995 Franklin Mills Circle, Philadelphia.  Come on out and enjoy the great entertainment for the TV taping and join in for the open mic if you’re there early enough to sign up.  E-mail us if you need further info.

Thank you to everyone who watches and participates in Inside Music Today.  This is a growing musical family and it’s great to see everyone supporting and helping each other in so many ways. Thanks also to our sponsors who keep original local music on the air!

Inside Music Today March 30 Show

It has been a happy week here at IMT since the weather is getting slightly warmer, which indicates spring is coming!  But what makes us happier is all the positive responses we have received concerning the In Concert Road Shows that we have started to plan.  We are putting finishing touches on the acoustic show at the Shamrock Pub and just in the beginning stages of  planning the show for our young bands, No Commitment, Volt, If All Else Fails and Half Daze.

Please keep your e-mails coming, in support of any of these upcoming shows.  Negotiations are in progress!

This week’s show takes us back to the Sunday Night Open Mic at Dr. Lou’s Place from a few week’s ago.  We have Mike & Flora performing a Flora Newberry song from that evening.  Mike & Flora will be one of the acts performing at the Shamrock Pub In Concert Road Show.  Then we have an original song by our producer Bill, featuring him with Artisan from a few years back.

Daddy Long Legs returns with a second song from the evening with Bucks County Open Mic Night at Pasquale’s.  Then we have an interview with Jimi Chanti and the newly finished concept video from Jimi Chanti and Nightspell 13.  Check out this video that highlights the talents of Bill & Rob’s editing skills!

Musicians, think about recording concept videos.  Just one other way to showcase your talents!

Next week’s show will feature Dr. Lou, Nicki Sbaffoni and Mike Rocket, plus some info about all the new things Dr. Lou has been pulling together. He’ll tell you about his new Sauce & Dressing and his new second location for Dr. Lou cuisine and radio show.  We wish him all the best with his additional new ventures!

We are also happy to say we will be back at Dr. Lou’s Place in Roebling this Sunday evening, March 31, around 7pm.  We are lucky to be catching an act from England and they are stopping by Dr. Lou’s on their tour.  Should be a fun TV taping evening, so stop on by!

Again, thank you to everyone for all the support you are giving Inside Music Today.  We are trying our best to provide some exciting “live” events for our talented musicians and our audience.  Please keep in touch and let us know what you would like.

Thanks for watching and have a Happy Easter!

Inside Music Today March 23 Show

We are very busy planning new events for the upcoming spring and summer seasons, including a show with our 4 young bands.  Thank you to everyone who has contacted us about the show we are working on, which will feature Volt, Half Daze, If All Else Fails and No Commitment.  We love hearing from you, so please keep your support coming!

On to this week’s show.  We are featuring the artists from the Bucks County Open Mic Night at Pasquale’s.  Lou Kramer opened the show with Firecracker Betty as back-up.  We have a song from Daddy Long Legs and then John Kelly and Dan Robbins from Of the Sea performed as a duo.  Our friend John Monzo came out to this open mic so we could hear another one of his tunes.  After hearing the fantastic guitar solos from Barry Bennedetta and Messenger, I found out Barry has toured with Ozzy Osbourne for several years.  Barry, we must have you back for an informative interview!

The March 30th show will feature our producer Bill performing one of his originals from when he was gigging with Artisan.  Written several years ago, this song is very relevant today.  Bill, we always knew you were ahead of your time!

Mike and Flora return with another new Flora Newberry song taped a few weeks back at their Sunday Night Open Mic at Dr. Lou’s Place.  If you enjoy Daddy Long Legs on this week’s show, you will be happy that they are returning March 30th also.

IMT is presenting the premiere of the recently finished concept video from Nightspell 13, complete with Bill’s interview with Jimi Chanti, Nightspell 13‘s composer, guitarist & producer.  The editing talents of Bill & Rob are displayed on this really cool video!

We want to congratulate Dr. Lou for the bottling of his Original Sauce & Dressing.  If you’ve ever had Dr. Lou’s wings or cheese steaks, you know you need to buy this sauce!

We appreciate Dr. Lou for being our longest running sponsor and wish him much continued success with Dr. Lou’s Place and his new Original Sauce & Dressing. We also appreciate all the bands he has provided for us from his open stage.  Watch the March 30th show and learn more about how to purchase Dr. Lou’s delicious and fantastic condiment!

The planning of our first IMT In Concert Road Show at the Shamrock Pub is coming together.  We should have finalized information by next week.  Thanks to everyone for hanging in there while we pull this all together.  It certainly is not easy!

Thanks for watching Inside Music Today and enjoy the weekend! Remember to patronize our sponsors and thank them for supporting Inside Music Today!

Inside Music Today March 9 Show

IMT must be in the midst of the late-winter blues with these unfortunate happenings, the latest being the cancellation last Wednesday of our first full TV taping of Bucks County Open Mic Night at Pasquale’s in Levittown, PA.  The evening was cancelled due to the weather forecast.  But that weather never really did materialize.  We apologize to all who were looking forward to performing that evening.  But as far as I know, it is rescheduled for this coming Wednesday, March 13.  Hope everyone can make it out!

This week’s show, featuring The ‘Rents and Crazy Raymond and the Watchdogs, is a bit different due to the extended interview with Raymond Tabano.  But I think everyone will find the show very interesting and informative.

Next week we decided to give you all a sneak peek of one new idea for an upcoming In Concert Road Show.  We have combined in one show, four of our most talented young bands.  Volt, If All Else Fails, Half Daze and No Commitment.  Would you like to see all these bands in one concert?  We would like them to agree to be a part of a very special concert.  Let us know if you would come out to a concert featuring these talented young artists.  In order to choose the perfect venue for the concert, we need to know our audience.  So please, call us, e-mail us or go to our facebook page, and let us know if you would come to an event like this.  With input from our audience, you can help us make this a really great show!

We haven’t been in touch with No Commitment in awhile, and in going to their site I found out they have been very busy.  The lead singer Zach was actually on American Idol last month!  Congratulations, Zach!

Finally, on Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM at Dr. Lou’s Place, the Good Doctor is hosting a fundraiser for the victims of a recent hotel fire in Pemberton.  Please come out to Dr. Lou’s Place on Sunday and support this great cause.  Dr. Lou has the biggest heart in the world.  Just in the short time we’ve known him, he has had many fundraisers to help those in need.  So please come out and enjoy some great music and wonderful food. IMT will be there also.  I know we’ll all have a real good time and help someone along the way.

All the other news will have to wait until next week.  It’s supposed to be a beautiful weekend, so get out and enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for watching IMT! Remember to thank and support our sponsors!
